SUNDAY SCHEDULE
Our Sunday morning service begins at 10:30am and ends around noon. This is followed by a time of tea and fellowship. Sunday School for children aged 3-12 is available during the service. We also have a room for mothers with infants.

In the afternoon, we sometimes offer classes and Bible studies for additional fellowship and study. Anyone is welcome to attend these meetings.

WHAT TO EXPECT
What can you expect to happen when you attend a Sunday morning worship service at SIBC?

A typical service begins with a song or two, followed by announcements. We then spend 20-25 minutes worshipping God. All of the songs are in both Japanese and English, and range from fast and upbeat to slow and reflective.

Following the singing, we have a time of teaching from the Bible. The message is usually given in English, and those wanting to listen in Japanese use the headphones to hear the translation. Occasionally, the message is in Japanese and the English speakers are asked to use the headphones. The message usually lasts about 30 minutes.

After the message, we sometimes have a prayer time, sing a couple more songs, and then we are done.

We also celebrate communion (the Lord's Supper) once a month.

Our desire is that the worship service will be a time for everyone to relax, enjoy the message, worship God and seek our Lord Jesus Christ. To this end, everyone is invited to participate in the service to whatever degree they feel comfortable.
